Creating Update Groups

Guide for creating new update groups for School ERP Pro clients.

Prerequisites

  • Permission: UPDATE_GROUPS_CREATE
  • Understand target version channels
  • Know which clients to include

Steps to Create

  1. Navigate to Product → SEP → Update Groups
  2. Click Create Group button
  3. Fill in group details:
    • Group Name: Descriptive name
    • Description: Purpose and notes
    • Status: Active or Inactive
  4. Configure schedule:
    • Type: Recurring or One-time
    • Cron Expression: For recurring
    • Date/Time: For one-time
  5. Set target version
  6. Add clients to group
  7. Review and save
